Jay Small has extensive work experience in the food service industry. Jay began their career in 2000 as the Director of Food and Nutrition Services at Boston Medical Center. Jay then moved on to Compass Group North America in 2002, where they held various roles, including Field Applications Specialist and Senior Field Applications Specialist. In these positions, they implemented and supported financial and accounting tools for the company's units across the country and oversaw the accounting needs for new business. Jay also trained and supervised junior team members. In 2007, Jay became the Sr. Director of Internal Audit at Compass Group North America, where they were responsible for overseeing the audit team for various sectors and companies, including healthcare, restaurant, and sports entertainment. Jay held this position until 2022 when they joined Restaurant Associates as the Vice President of Finance.
Jay Small has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Science from Indiana University Bloomington. Currently, they are pursuing an Executive MBA at Quantic School of Business and Technology, expected to be completed in 2023.
