Melinda Sulkama

Melinda Sulkama has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Melinda began their career as a Salesperson and Substitute Store Manager at Lidl Finland, where they gained experience in customer service and product management. Melinda later worked as a Sales Assistant at Internacionale Retail Ltd during the holiday season.

In 2010, Melinda took on the role of Valon neito 2010 / Maiden of Light 2010 at Tampere Conference Service, where they participated in the Tampere Festival of Light and was responsible for bringing warmth and joy to the city during the winter months.

Melinda then worked as a Content Developer and Translation Coordinator at Nelostuote Ltd / Tactic, a Finnish board game company, where they created content and marketing materials for board games in both English and Finnish.

Melinda's next position was at *Research, where they held various roles including Editorial Researcher, Editor, and Senior Editor. In these roles, they monitored research funding organizations and wrote grant opportunities for an online database. Melinda also proofread, copyedited, and formatted the work of other editors/researchers.

Following their time at *Research, Melinda joined the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) as an Assessment Editor, where they managed the quality assurance process for accountancy assessments.

Melinda then took on freelance work where they wrote online news articles, trivia questions, and scripts for various projects.

Most recently, Melinda worked at EMAP as an Editorial Manager and Head of Contract Publishing. In this role, they focused on producing specialist content for the financial services industry and managed the publication of study texts and professional development content for business clients.

Melinda Sulkama has a diverse education history. Melinda pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Screenwriting from the University of the Arts London, which they completed between 2013 and 2014. Prior to that, Melinda obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the University of Worcester, specializing in English, Literature, Drama, and Film. Melinda studied at the University of Worcester from 2007 to 2010. Before their university education, Melinda attained a High School Degree (Ylioppilas) from Tampereen yhteiskoulun lukio, graduating in the year 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Melinda Sulkama has obtained certifications to expand their skills and knowledge. Melinda completed a course in Digital Skills: Social Media from Accenture in June 2020. In February 2016, they also received a certification in Unlocking Film Rights: Understanding UK Copyright from BAFTA.
