Shannon Barnes

Shannon Barnes is a Principal Engineer who has worked at Comcast since January 2023. Prior to that, Shannon held the same position at Whil, starting in March 2019. Shannon also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Oath (Yahoo! and AOL.com) until March 2019, and as a Principal Software Engineer at OnCue at Verizon from 2014 to 2017. Shannon began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Intel Media Inc. from 2002 to 2014. Shannon holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, awarded in 2002, and graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in 1994.
