Di Hu

Autonomous Research Scientist at Retro Biosciences

Di Hu has an extensive work experience in various research and academic roles. They started their career as a Research Assistant at The Hospital for Sick Children in 2013, conducting research until September 2015. Following this, they worked as a Tutor in Biochemistry and Medical Physiology at the University of Oxford from August 2018 to June 2019. In August 2019, Di Hu joined the MRC London Institute of Medical Sciences as an MRC Postdoctoral Research Scientist, where they stayed until October 2020. During this time, they also served as a Resident Disc Jockey at Rave Signal from July 2019 onwards. In October 2020, Di Hu began working at the UK Dementia Research Institute as a Research Associate in Genomics and Molecular Neuropathology, where they are involved in developing single-cell multiomic technologies for studying Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases. Starting November 2022, Di Hu will be working as an Autonomous Research Scientist at Retro Biosciences. Throughout their career, Di Hu has actively contributed to the scientific community, serving as a member of the Early Career Research Steering committee for Synapse and Bioinformatics UK DRI themes and as a member of the Alzheimer's Research UK Network.

Di Hu's education history begins in 2010 when they attended McGill University. They completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell Biology and Anatomy from 2010 to 2014. Afterward, they pursued further education at the University of Oxford and obtained a DPhil degree in Physiology, Anatomy & Genetics, which spanned from 2015 to 2019.
