Emily Schwing

Emily Schwing is a seasoned freelance journalist with experience at major media outlets including The Washington Post, NPR, The New York Times, and BBC since January 2006. Currently serving as a reporter for Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting since 2019, Emily Schwing has previously contributed to The New York Times, focusing on tracking coronavirus case data in the U.S. Other roles include Inland Northwest Correspondent for Northwest News Network, reporter/producer for KUAC 89.9 FM, and Morning Edition host for Boise State Public Radio. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Environmental Studies from Carleton College and additional studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
