Rikus Louw

Rikus Louw has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rikus is currently working as a Principal Software Architect at Revio since December 2022. Previously, they co-founded Bluebird Development in July 2019. Rikus also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Business Science Corporation from October 2021 to November 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Full Stack Engineer at both The Delta and Coindirect from September 2020 to November 2022 and from May 2021 to October 2021, respectively. Rikus also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at BankTech from April 2020 to September 2020 and at Fintec from July 2019 to March 2020. Before that, they were an Android Developer at ZING.WORLD from February 2017 to July 2019. Rikus started their career as an Android/Blackberry and J2ME Developer at Blazingchilli Limited from February 2014 to February 2017. Rikus'searliest role was as a Software Developer at Vanguard Software Solutions from October 2013 to February 2014. In this position, they worked on an enterprise mailing and SMS service and developed an audio and video transcoder using .NET, ffmpeg, and domain-driven design principles.

Rikus Louw began their education journey in 2007 at Stellenbosch University, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Rikus spent four years at the university, completing their studies in 2010. Rikus then pursued further education at the CTI Education Group from 2011 to 2012, specializing in Software Development within the field of Computer Science.
