Valeria Rincon's work experience begins in 2017 as a Research Assistant for David Laitin, Jens Hainmueller, and Tomás R. Jiménez at Stanford University Political Science. In 2018, they worked as a Summer Analyst at SEAF, where they executed market and impact due diligence on pipeline companies and managed investor relations with USAID. Valeria continued their work as a Summer Analyst at SEAF Colombia, a $17 million fund investing in Colombian agribusiness companies.
In 2019, Valeria became a member of the H4D 2019 Cohort at Stanford University Department of Management Science & Engineering. Valeria then joined 17 Asset Management as a Summer Analyst, where they conducted framing, strategy, data, and measurement to guide asset management and advisory efforts. Valeria also analyzed the SDG-alignment of 90 portfolio companies for an advisory client.
In 2020, Valeria had several roles at Stanford University, including being a Hacking 4 Recovery Head Course Assistant at Stanford Technology Ventures Program (STVP) and a Course Assistant for the H4D and Technology and National Security courses at the Department of Management Science & Engineering.
Starting in 2021, Valeria worked as a Resilient Homes Program Fellow at Climate Resilient Communities. Valeria then became a Midwest Climate and Clean Energy Fellow, and later a Midwest Equitable Building Decarbonization Advocate at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
Currently, in 2023, Valeria is the Local Engagement Coordinator at Rewiring America, where they focus on recruitment, engagement, and strategy for members of Rewiring America's Local Governments Leaders for Electrification Coalition.
Valeria Rincon completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government at Stanford University from 2016 to 2020. Later, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Sustainability Science and Practice at the same institution, which they completed from 2020 to 2021.
