Scientist II, Discovery Biology & Target Validation at Rezo Therapeutics

Katherine (Katie) Schutt, Ph.D., currently serves as Scientist II in Discovery Biology & Target Validation at Rezo Therapeutics, having begun this role in February 2023. Prior to their current position, Katherine worked as a Scientist at Synthego Corporation, focusing on generating custom immortalized cell lines using CRISPR technology. As a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Vermont, Katherine executed independent experiments for sponsored research and generated detailed reports for industry collaborators. Katherine earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies at Dartmouth, where research included studying the activation mechanisms of AMPK under osmotic stress. Additional experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant at Dartmouth and Saint Michael's College and as a Laboratory Assistant at Saint Michael's College, enhancing both research and teaching skills throughout their academic and professional journey.
