Johanna Westeson is a legal expert and advocate specializing in human rights, with extensive experience in various capacities focused on discrimination law, reproductive rights, and minority issues. Currently serving as a Jurist and expert in sexual politics at RFSU since October 2023, Johanna has previously worked as a freelance human rights expert, engaging in public speaking and writing projects related to discrimination and climate justice. From 2016 to 2022, Johanna was a legal adviser and discrimination expert with Amnesty International Sweden, contributing to political advocacy and strategic litigation. Earlier roles include leading programs at Civil Rights Defenders and the Center for Reproductive Rights, as well as coordinating human rights initiatives in Latin America. Educational credentials include a Master of Laws in Human Rights law from Columbia Law School and another LLM from Uppsala University.
