Rob Zinkan has had a long and varied career in higher education. Rob started their career in 1997 as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Affairs and Director of Sports Marketing and Promotions at Ashland University. Rob then moved to Northwestern State University in 2001 as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations. In 2002, they joined Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus as the Assistant Dean for Advancement and Director of Gift Development and Alumni Relations. In 2007, they became the Vice Chancellor for External Affairs and Executive Director for External Affairs and Marketing at Indiana University East. Rob then moved to Indiana University in 2014 as the Associate Vice President for Marketing, leading IU's full-service internal marketing agency and leading marketing on the flagship campus in Bloomington. In 2015, they joined mStoner (now Carnegie) as the Host of Marketing Live, hosting a monthly live webcast and podcast. In 2021, they began working at Bay Path University as an Adjunct Faculty, mentoring first-year doctoral students, and at Ball State University as an Instructor of Journalism. Rob currently works at RHB as the Vice President for Marketing Leadership, leading the practice in Institutional Marketing.
Rob Zinkan obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College in 1996, followed by a Master of Education from Xavier University in 1998. In 2006, they earned a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Finally, Rob Zinkan completed their Doctor of Education from Creighton University in 2016.
