Abin Joy

Abin Joy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Abin began their career as a Junior Embedded Programmer at Quest Innovative Solutions, where they learned C programming and developed embedded projects. Abin then joined BRAINBITZ as a Junior Embedded Programmer, where they continued to develop microcontroller and microprocessor-based embedded systems for clients.

Abin then transitioned to Dexlock, where they held the roles of Junior Software Engineer and later Senior Software Engineer. During this time, they trained new employees in Android and backend application development, worked on data engineering projects, and deployed web applications on AWS servers. Abin also integrated payment gateways, mobile databases, and map features into various Android apps.

Moving on, Abin joined Citizen IG as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they successfully managed a major research project and built a pothole detection model. Abin also programmed sensor fusion using accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data.

Abin then joined Sightline Innovation Inc as a Junior Software Developer, collaborating with the core data team to build and populate data in data stores. Abin also created ETL pipelines for efficient data flow and built ML user interfaces using the Streamlit package.

After that, Abin worked at Resilience Corporate Services as a Software Developer, specializing in data engineering. Abin was responsible for creating the data backend system, collaborating with system architects on core data systems for big data projects, and selecting appropriate cloud services.

Most recently, Abin joined Rhetorik as a Java Developer, where their responsibilities include learning about the product named Datarista and inventing new features to enhance user experience.

Abin Joy's education history begins in 2008 when they attended THSS MUTTOM where they studied Physical Sciences until 2010. Following that, they enrolled in Anna University in 2010 and completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communication Engineering in 2014. In 2019, Abin Joy pursued a Graduate Certificate in Big Data Analytics at Georgian College, which they completed in 2020.

Apart from their formal education, Abin Joy has also obtained various certifications. Abin received a verified International Academic Qualification from the World Education Services in December 2020. Additionally, they received certifications in subjects like TensorFlow 2, Neo4J, Data Engineering Pipelines in Python, Machine Learning with PySpark, Unified Data Analytics with Databricks, Essential Math for Machine Learning: Python Edition, SAS Programming 1: Essentials, Statistical Learning from Stanford University, Embedded Systems, and a B.E certification from Anna University Chennai. These certifications were obtained between 2014 and 2021, with the most recent being in September 2021.
