Róisín Moore

Róisín Moore has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Róisín started their career in 2014 with a work placement at the Cork Cancer Research Centre, where they gained laboratory experience and provided office assistance. In 2016, they worked as a crew member at McDonald's. In 2018, they worked as a receptionist at Avis Rent A Car UAE, where they handled data analysis, customer care, and contract filing.

In 2019, Róisín joined The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they were involved in cell culture manufacturing and operations, including monitoring cell harvest and propagation and participating in team meetings and problem-solving projects. From 2020 to 2021, they ran a freelance pet boarding and dog walking business, receiving five-star reviews from clients.

In 2021, Róisín worked as a Medical Operations Associate at IQVIA, supporting medical monitors and ensuring the smooth running of medical operations for clinical trials. Róisín joined Rhizocore Technologies in 2022, initially as a Mycology Lab Technician, where they worked closely with fungi in the lab, and later as a Mycology Laboratory Manager. Their responsibilities included planning and executing laboratory experiments, overseeing technical team members, liaising with vendors, interacting with customers, and keeping up to date with mycological literature and research.

Róisín Moore has a diverse educational background with a focus on science and medicine. Róisín pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the University College Cork, where they studied from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Coláiste Daibheid, receiving their Leaving Certificate in 2016.

Building on their academic achievements, Róisín then enrolled in the University of Glasgow from 2020 to 2021 to further specialize in Precision Medicine and Pharmacological Innovation. Here, they focused on the field of Human/Medical Genetics.

In addition to their academic pursuits, Róisín has obtained a Biotechnology Scholarship Award from Janssen Pharmaceuticals in 2019, showcasing their dedication and talent in the field. Furthermore, they have acquired a driving license from the Road Safety Authority and holds a Safe Pass certification from SOLAS (An tSeirbhís Oideachais Leanúnaigh agus Scileanna).
