Rob Blau has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. In 2000, they began their career as Chief Architect at WinWin Technologies. In 2001, they became CTO at Ignition Technologies, where they were responsible for high level technical decisions and represented the technical team at client meetings. From 2002 to 2007, they were Production Engineering Supervisor at Dreamworks Animation, where they supervised 14 direct reports responsible for global pipeline. From 2007 to 2011, they were Production TD Supervisor at Laika Entertainment, where they were one of two managers for a group of between 8-35 engineers responsible for implementing Laika's stop-motion pipeline. In 2011, they founded MILKBAR SOFTWARE, LLC. From 2012 to 2014, they were Head of Pipeline Engineering at Shotgun Software, where they managed a team of 5-8 engineers developing and supporting Shotgun's integrations and Toolkit platform. From 2014 to 2021, they were Senior Product Manager and Product Owner at Autodesk, where they managed all aspects of Shotgun's integrations and developer-facing features. In 2021, they began their current roles as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering at Rhumbix.
Rob Blau obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 1995 and 2000.
