Christo Groenewald has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Christo currently holds the position of Healthcare Practice Director at RIA Advisory. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director and General Manager at CompuGroup Medical SA, where they led a market-leading healthcare technology firm. Their responsibilities included serving various sectors within the healthcare industry and delivering advanced care capabilities to over 5000 customers.

Earlier in their career, Groenewald held multiple roles at Liberty Group South Africa, including Divisional Director for Health Business Enablement, Divisional Director for Health Member Care, Head of Operations for South Africa and Africa Regions Administration and Managed Care, and General Manager for South Africa and Africa Region Administration Operations. Christo gained extensive business experience in countries such as Nigeria, Uganda, Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, South Africa, and Kenya.

Outside of the healthcare industry, they served as a Founding Partner at Marsh Green Risk Assurance, where they focused on designing operational risk management software and establishing advisory entities in the Middle East and Pan-African regions.

Prior to this, they held positions at Neil Harvey and Associates, Medicover Medical Scheme, Focus Medical Pharmaceutical Distribution, MedicKredit, and Helderberg Medical in various managerial and leadership roles.

Christo Groenewald completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, they also obtained a TOGAF 9.2 Practitioner certification in Enterprise Architecture from The Open Group. Additionally, they earned a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University in 1996. Before that, in 1994, they acquired a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honn in Pharmacology from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit. Lastly, they received a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit between 1990 and 1993.
