Ahmed Shareef

Ahmed Shareef has a diverse work experience in the field of cloud operations, cybersecurity, and information security. Ahmed started their career as an Information Security Analyst/Engineer at Cisco in 2016 and then transitioned to the role of SOC IDS Engineer at the Social Security Administration in 2017. In 2019, Ahmed joined BB&T as a Cyber Threat Investigator, where they were responsible for gathering and analyzing security data and ensuring data accuracy and accessibility. In 2020, they worked as the Incident Response & Threat Hunt Lead at West India Products before moving on to Ribbon Communications as a Cloud Operations Technical Support Engineer. Currently, Ahmed holds the position of Cloud Operations Compliance Officer at American Virtual Cloud Technologies.

Ahmed Shareef holds a BS in Information & Computer Technology with a concentration in Information Security from East Carolina University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Ahmed has obtained several certifications. Ahmed earned their CCNA certification from Cisco in December 2014, and their RHCSA certification from Red Hat in February 2016.
