Alex Lopotan

Alex Lopotan has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Alex most recently worked at Ribbon Communications as a Senior Sales Account Manager. In this role, they were responsible for defining and executing the IP Optical sales and go-to-market strategy for identified accounts. Alex qualified new opportunities, presented Ribbon solutions, and responded to RFx's. Alex also managed the overall sales cycle for opportunities and developed and deepened customer relationships. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Sales at KGPCo Canada from 2019 to 2022.

Before that, Alex held various positions at Huawei Technologies. Alex served as the Director of Marketing - IoT Solutions from 2017 to 2019 and as a Senior Solutions Architect from 2016 to 2017. In these roles, they designed and promoted ICT solutions for diverse customers. Alex had a strong understanding of large-scale wireless, wireline, and IT solutions, including network transformation projects. Alex also worked as the Director of Customer Solutions from 2013 to 2016, where they developed wireless and fixed network solutions for Canadian telecom customers.

Alex's earlier experience includes working as a Wireless Product Manager at Huawei from 2008 to 2013. Alex specialized in UMTS/HSPA+/LTE technologies. Prior to that, they worked as a Wireless Product Manager (CDMA) at Huawei from 2005 to 2007, where they were responsible for promoting wireless products and delivering formal business proposals to potential and existing customers.

Alex began their career at Moldcell, where they held various roles from 2000 to 2005. Alex worked as Corporate & VIP Sales in the TeliaSonera Group, leading corporate sales activities and managing projects. Alex also worked in training and service development and as a customer relations representative.

Alex Lopotan earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Law from Universitatea de Stat din Moldova, completing the program from 1995 to 2000. Additionally, Alex has obtained multiple Duolingo Spanish Fluency certificates from 2016, indicating advanced proficiency in the Spanish language.
