John Beatty has over 20 years of work experience in various sales and marketing roles. John is currently a Senior Manager for Sales Operations at Ribbon Communications, where they manage the Global Deals Desk and Bids & Proposals teams. In this position, they are responsible for overseeing the end-to-end Deal Review process, managing workload, updating data in Salesforce.com, and reporting performance metrics to senior executives and finance teams. John also trains new team members and collaborates with sales and account teams.
Prior to their current role, John worked at Sonus as a Sales Operations Manager and Principal Bids & Proposals Specialist. John was responsible for managing sales operations and coordinating bids and proposals. Before Sonus, John worked as a Solutions Marketing Manager at BTI Systems and as a Senior Marketing Manager at Alcatel-Lucent, where they provided product marketing support for various solutions.
John also has a strong background in product marketing at Nortel Networks, where they held various roles, including Senior Product Marketing Manager for Metro Ethernet Networks and Service Provider Data Networks. John managed the execution of carrier ethernet and led the organization of user group conferences. John also drove product launches and developed collateral to support marketing programs.
At the start of their career, John worked in the Bids & Proposals department at Bay Networks. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in sales operations, bids and proposals, marketing communications, and product marketing.
John Beatty attended Clarkson University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
