Metin Aydemir

Metin Aydemir has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Metin currently works at Ribbon Communications as a Technical Account Manager since September 2019. Prior to that, they held various roles at Ribbon Communications (formerly Genband Inc.) starting from June 2010 to August 2019. In these roles, they worked as a Network Design Engineer, specializing in SBC Network Design and Carrier VoIP Business Line, where they designed and implemented VoIP networks for major US Service Providers.

Before joining Ribbon Communications, Metin Aydemir worked at Nortel from January 2000 to June 2010 as a Network Engineer. Metin was involved in simulation with OPNET Modeler and performed network planning, provisioning, and traffic engineering functions. In this role, they contributed to the conversion of Sprint's TDM network to a VoATM solution and worked closely with customer planning groups.

Prior to Nortel, Metin Aydemir worked at IBM from May 1996 to January 2000 as a Performance Engineer. Metin worked in the System Design Group, collaborating with the switch technology group on modeling, analysis, and design of Ethernet switch architecture. Metin also designed a flow control mechanism for output-queued switch architectures and contributed to the development of flow control mechanisms.

Metin Aydemir's earliest work experience was at Siemens SC from 1986 to 1991 as a Telecommunications Software Engineer. Metin played a major role in the data administration subsystem of the EWSD Digital Switching System and worked on CCITT signaling system.

Before Siemens SC, they worked at ITT Telecom from 1982 to 1986 as a Software Engineer. Metin specialized in the Call Handling Data Administration Subsystem of the ITT 1210 Digital Switching System and led a project on calling card service feature development.

Overall, Metin Aydemir has extensive experience in telecom and networking, with expertise in network design, VoIP, simulation, traffic engineering, and software engineering.

Metin Aydemir has pursued education in various institutions. Metin completed their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University. Later, they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology. Currently, Metin Aydemir is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University.
