Michael Speas

Michael Speas has had extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Michael began their career as a Software Engineer at Ericsson in 1989 and worked there until 1993. Michael then joined Nortel, where they held several roles including Senior Software Designer, Software Design Manager, R&D Program Manager, and Finance & Budget Prime. Michael worked at Nortel until 2010 when they moved to Genband as a Project Manager. In 2017, they transitioned to Ribbon Communications in the same role. Throughout their career, Michael has demonstrated expertise in various areas of telecommunications, including cellular development, GSM/UMTS development, IMS development, and location-based billing. Michael even holds a U.S. patent related to location-based billing in a mobile telecommunication system.

Michael Speas attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering.
