John Dewitt

John DeWitt has a diverse work experience in the field of sports science and consulting. John currently serves as the Director of Applied Sports Science at Rice Athletics, where they maximize the development of physical, technical, and psychological skills for competitive success. John also runs their own consulting company, DeWitt Method Performance Consulting, where they assist professional and collegiate sports programs in achieving their goals through game and practice planning, data analysis, and report development.

Prior to their current roles, John was the Chief Strategy Officer at Inflouence Sports and worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. John also has experience as a Senior Biomechanist at KBR Careers - Gov Solutions, where they worked with NASA. Additionally, John worked as a Senior Biomechanist for the Chicago Cubs, conducting studies on pitching and hitting biomechanics.

Before their professional career, John was an Academy Sports Performance Coach for the Houston Dynamo and an Assistant Coach for the Houston Dash. John earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences from The University of Texas Medical Branch between 2003 and 2006.
