Bhumi Shah is a CISA, CISM, HiTrust CCSFP, and PCI ISA with extensive experience in governance, risk, compliance, and infosec policy and processes. Bhumi has held various roles in multiple companies since 1999.
In 1999, Bhumi Shah co-founded and directed Omkar Dance Academy. In 2005, they worked as a software developer intern at Tata Consultancy Services and a web developer and graduate research assistant at Indiana University. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a systems process assurance at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. In 2007, they were a graduate research assistant at Indiana University. In 2010, they became a manager of governance risk and compliance at MedAssets. From 2014 to 2015, they were a consultant for governance, risk, compliance, and infosec policies at RideCell, and they were the global head of security compliance risk and IT at RideCell from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, Bhumi Shah became a senior director of governance risk and compliance at nThrive, and they were the director of governance risk and compliance at nThrive in 2019. Additionally, they were a speaker at the SF fall conference hosted by ISACA in 2014.
Bhumi Shah holds a M.S. in Information Systems from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business (2005-2007). Prior to this, they completed an Advanced Certificate in Business Management from Welingkar Institute of Management (2003-2005). Bhumi also holds a B.E. in Information Systems from Gujarat University (2002-2005) and a Diploma in Engineering (Associate Degree) in Information Technology from Government Polytechnic for Girls (2000-2002). Additionally, they hold certifications in CISA, CISM, HiTrust CCSFP, and PCI ISA.
