Kelly Bidle

Dean, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Rider University

Kelly Bidle serves as the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Rider University, a position held since September 2001. Responsibilities include overseeing the development of new academic programs, managing 44 undergraduate majors, 55 minors, 6 certificates, and 9 graduate programs, as well as directing workload planning for approximately 1,000 course sections across 16 departments. Previously, Kelly Bidle held the role of Professor, leading a National Science Foundation-funded lab focused on microbial genetics for 16 years while mentoring over 150 undergraduate students. Additionally, as Associate Dean, responsibilities included chairing academic standing and coordinating academic advising for undeclared students. Prior to Rider University, Kelly Bidle was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, conducting microbial genetics research. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rutgers University and a PhD in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
