Mac Rand

Mac Rand boasts extensive experience in education and leadership, currently serving as an Upper School Science Teacher at Ridgefield Academy since August 2016, where responsibilities include teaching 7th and 8th grade science and advising students. Prior to this role, Mac held the position of Executive Director at the Saranac Lake Area Youth Program and worked as a substitute teacher for the Lake Placid Central School District. An entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Great Blue Outfitters after 17 years of ownership of Camp Pathfinder, a wilderness summer camp. Mac's career also includes numerous years as a Middle School Science Teacher and serving as Middle School Head at Wooster School. An early career in insurance as a Commercial Accounts Representative complements Mac's rich background in education and management. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Lafayette College.
