Kaat Brulez is an experienced ecologist currently serving as the Wildlife Deputy Team Leader and Ecotoxicologist at RIFCON GmbH since April 2021. Prior to this role, Kaat worked as a Scientific Researcher in the Wetlands department at the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust from April 2014 to February 2018, focusing on enhancing lapwing breeding success through fox exclusion methods. Kaat's earlier experience includes a position as a Conservation Assistant at The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country, where responsibilities involved practical conservation management and GIS mapping. Additionally, Kaat was a Research Associate at the University of Zurich, investigating the evolution of avian sociality. Kaat holds a PhD in Ecology from the University of Birmingham, an MSc in Evolutionary and Behavioural Ecology from the University of Exeter, and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Cardiff University.
