Ken Hooper has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Starting with their time in the US Army as an Infantryman, they specialized in weapon systems and demonstrated professionalism and adherence to deadlines. Following that, they worked as a Principle Engineer at Personal IT Consulting, providing IT support and network provisioning for small-to-medium sized businesses in the Denver area. Ken then transitioned to Columbia Distributing as a Network Administrator, where they managed a network serving 3000 devices across multiple locations and led the design and implementation of a resilient wide area network. After that, they worked at Clearwater Paper Corporation as a Network Architect, handling tier 3 network trouble tickets and leading projects such as redesigning the routing infrastructure. Currently, they are employed at Right! Systems, Inc. as a Sr. Security Engineer and has previously held the role of Sr. Network Engineer.
Ken Hooper attended DeVry University from 2013 to 2015, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Network and System Administration.
In addition to their degree, Ken Hooper has obtained several certifications in the field of network security. Ken became a Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) in March 2019, followed by a Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP-S) in August 2020. Ken also achieved certifications as an NSE 1 Network Security Associate, NSE 2 Network Security Associate, and NSE 3 Network Security Associate from Fortinet in February 2020. Lastly, Ken Hooper obtained the Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) certification in August 2019.
