De Villiers Keet has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. De Villiers began their career at VSG Vision Security Group as a Security Guard, where their responsibilities included site entry and exit control, site patrols, and answering customer telephone calls. De Villiers then transitioned into the technology industry, starting at Payteq as a Developer. In this role, they worked on various products using C# .NET, Windows Forms, Windows Presentation Foundation, Microsoft WCF, and Silverlight technologies.

De Villiers then moved on to Sage as a Developer, where they worked on a product that involved both a WinForms "fat client" and a web interface. De Villiers used technologies such as DevExpress components, AngularJS, and MVC patterns to develop front-end modules and inbox-style workflow operations.

Afterward, they joined Agtrix as a Developer, focusing on developing farming logistics and management products using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and the Aurelia framework.

Currently, De Villiers is employed at RightCrowd Software as a Software Engineer, part of the integrations team. Their responsibilities include integrating their main product with various third-party Physical Access Control System (PACS) solutions, such as Tyco C-CURE and OnGuard. De Villiers utilizes technologies like Windows Management Instrumentation, SDKs, and HTTP REST APIs to implement new functionality and diagnose and fix errors in the system.

De Villiers Keet completed their Matric Certificate at Grey College from 1993 to 2004. De Villiers then pursued a BEngineering degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria from 2006 to 2010. During their time at the university, their studies focused on computer architecture, embedded programming, programming design patterns, and related subjects. In addition, Keet obtained additional certifications from Microsoft, including the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD): App Builder in May 2019 and the Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate in August 2020.
