Marco Marongiu

Marco Marongiu is a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer at RiksTV since March 2020 and has been a self-employed technical author since 1995, focusing on the technical blog syslog.me. Previously, Marco held the position of Head of IT at Telenor Digital, where promise theory was utilized to manage a diverse team and define scalable processes. As a Senior System Administrator at Opera Software, Marco implemented a Puppet infrastructure for managing a B2B Opera Mini cluster and evolved system configurations across 10,000 machines. A founding member of "Apriti Software!", Marco served as President and contributed to promoting cultural values in the Free/Libre Open Source Software community. Marco's extensive experience also includes roles at Sardegna IT, Tiscali, CRS4, and GULCh, showcasing skills in system administration, migration coordination, and technical supervision. Marco holds a degree in Mathematics from the Università degli Studi di Cagliari and a Diploma di Maturità Scientifica from Liceo Scientifico G.Marconi.
