Bala Balakrishnan

Bala Balakrishnan has over 25 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Bala started their career in 1994 as a Technical Advisor - Business Development at Chevron. In 2006, they moved to Repsol YPF as a Business Development Manager. Bala then joined Wintershall Holding GmbH in 2009 as a Business Development/Commercial Lead, responsible for identifying opportunities for new or expanded business development activity within selected geographic regions. In 2012, Balakrishnan took on the role of Vice President and Head of Global Business Development at Talisman Energy Inc., where they were a key member of the management team that sets and implements the company's strategic direction. Finally, they moved to RimRock Oil & Gas in 2015 as Senior Vice President of Business Development.

Bala Balakrishnan obtained a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience from the University of Aberdeen between 1990 and 1991.
