James Maltby

James Maltby is an experienced professional in the maritime safety engineering sector, currently serving as Delivery Manager - Safety Engineering and Principal Consultant for RINA since February 2023. Prior roles include significant positions at BAE Systems, such as T23 WTA Lead Safety and Environmental Engineer and Asset Management Safety Lead, as well as experience at Lloyd's Register as an Entry Into Class Specialist. Previous to these roles, James worked as a Naval Architect at Laurent Giles Naval Architects Ltd and was a Student Ambassador during studies at Southampton Solent University, where a Bachelor of Engineering in Yacht and Powercraft Design was earned. James continues to enhance expertise by pursuing a Master of Science in Maritime Technology at Newcastle University. Academic foundation includes A-Levels from Falmouth School.
