Cude Tia Sabawi

Tia Sabawi, CUDE has experience in the credit union industry spanning over 15 years. Tia currently holds the position of Vice President of Consumer Lending at Rio Grande Credit Union, a role they began in February 2020. Prior to this, Tia was the Vice President of Consumer Lending at Xceed Financial Credit Union from April 2014 to December 2018. Tia also served as the AVP Indirect Lending at USC Credit Union from August 2013 to March 2014. Before that, Tia worked as the Supervisor of Indirect Lending at LA Financial Credit Union from April 2012 to July 2013. Tia began their credit union career as an Underwriter at UNIFY Financial Credit Union in October 2006 and continued in that role until April 2011.

Tia Sabawi, CUDE, earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, Criticism and Conservation from California State University-Dominguez Hills, which they attended from 2002 to 2004. Tia then pursued their Master of Arts degree in Humanities/Humanistic Studies from the same university, completing their studies from 2004 to 2011. Tia also holds additional certifications, including the Credit Union Development Educator certification obtained from The National Credit Union Foundation in February 2023, and the CBEST certification obtained from California Educator Credentialing in May 2019.
