Nyssa Gomez Farias

Nyssa Gomez Farias is a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse at Rio Grande Regional Hospital since August 2022 and has been a Student Nurse at Ascension since August 2020, gaining clinical experience at Seton Main and Seton Hays. Previous roles include Student Nurse positions in med-surge and pediatric units at St. David's HealthCare and Dell Children's Medical Center Foundation, respectively. In addition, Nyssa volunteered as a COVID-19 Vaccinator at The University of Texas at Austin, administering over 60 Pfizer vaccines. Early experiences include volunteer work translating English and Spanish at Rio Grande Regional Hospital and lifeguarding at various locations. Nyssa holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and an Associate of Arts degree from South Texas College.
