Alicia Banes

Alicia Banes has extensive experience in education, currently serving as Principal at Rio Rancho Public Schools since August 2009, after previous roles as Assistant Principal and Fourth Grade Teacher at Enchanted Hills Elementary. Prior to this, Alicia held the position of 7th Grade Gifted Humanities Teacher at Mountain View Middle School from August 2004 to November 2006. Experience also includes teaching positions with Pasadena Unified School District as a Teacher/TESOL for 5th grade and as a 3/4/TESOL Teacher. Alicia began the teaching career at Holtville Unified School District as a Teacher/TESOL for 4th grade. Alicia holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from San Diego State University, along with coursework completed at the University of Arizona.
