Bill Brooks is a semi-retired professional with extensive experience in metallurgy and mineral processing. Currently serving as a Principal Advisor-Processing at Rio Tinto since 2011, Bill has designed geo-metallurgical test programs, improved plant tonnage rates, and managed teams focused on enhancing recovery rates in various projects across North America. Previous roles include Chief Process Engineer at Minera Panama, where Bill oversaw the design of a large copper and molybdenum concentrator, and Senior Metallurgical Specialist at Worley Parsons, guiding major studies in metallurgical processes. Bill's leadership experience also encompasses roles as Project Director at Mincenco Ltd and Process Engineering Manager for Vale Inco's Indonesian projects. Bill holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Minerals Processing and Metallurgical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
