Daniel Chia

Daniel Chia is an experienced engineering professional with a focus on reservoir engineering and project management within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Project Lead at Rio Tinto, Daniel is involved in Fleet To Plant API Integration and software upgrades for various mines. Previously, as a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Strike Energy, Daniel contributed to geothermal and carbon capture projects and provided key support in reserves reporting and field development. Notable roles include project management for Autonomous Haulage Systems at Rio Tinto, Chief Reservoir Engineer at Western Gas, and Principal Consultant at Chia Up Engineering, where Daniel applied expertise in reservoir engineering and project economics. Daniel holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering and a double major Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Curtin University.
