Project Implementation Lead - Closure Studies at Rio Tinto

Fotios Souris is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in the mining and engineering sectors. Since November 2010, Fotios has been with Rio Tinto, currently serving as the Project Implementation Lead for Closure Studies and previously as Project Manager, focusing on engineering studies and closure-related projects for Energy Resources of Australia. Prior to this, Fotios worked at Engenium as a Project/Study Manager, overseeing engineering studies and mining projects from January 2009 to November 2010. Fotios also held the role of Senior Project Manager at BHP Billiton from November 2007 to October 2008, leading project delivery across various phases and supporting project personnel. Further experience includes serving as Superintendent of Project Engineering at BHP Billiton - Nickel West, contributing to project management and performance analysis from April 2001 to November 2007. Fotios holds a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute, a Master's degree in Engineering Science from QUT, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, also from QUT.
