Phillip Nickerson

Phillip Nickerson is an experienced geoscientist with a significant background in exploration and project generation for copper and gold. Currently serving as Exploration Manager and Principal Geoscientist at Rio Tinto since August 2019, Phillip contributes to the North America Region Technical Team. Prior to this role, Phillip was an Exploration Geologist at Bronco Creek Exploration, Inc from June 2012 to July 2019, focusing on copper and gold projects in the western United States. Phillip also co-founded WyoMade Apparel & Craft Goods, a retail store and clothing brand, and held leadership positions in the Wyoming Geological Association. Phillip's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Geology & Geophysics from the University of Wyoming and a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Arizona.
