Michael Egner

Michael Egner is an accomplished financial executive currently serving as CFO at RIOT Network, where the focus is on providing internet access to low-income households. Since April 2023, Michael has also been acting as CFO for EverList and a fractional CFO for The Venturesmiths, assisting high-growth venture-backed companies. In prior roles, Michael served as CFO at AAAtraq and an advisor for Plausible Gaming, as well as holding the position of investment professional at Matumi Corporate Advisers, focusing on venture capital and supporting private equity deal processes. Michael previously co-founded PropertyClan, which aims to democratize real estate investments, and also held roles including fractional CFO at HomeFunds and non-executive director at Brightest Young Minds. Michael holds a Master's degree from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a law degree from the University of Cape Town.
