Eliza Raymond is an adjunct research fellow at Victoria University of Wellington since March 2024, focusing on a child-centred research agenda in tourism and publishing insights from a completed PhD that examines the link between childhood travel and global citizenship. In addition, Eliza serves as the senior internationalisation programmes manager, leading initiatives such as the Wellington International Leadership Programme and the Wellington Global Exchange Programme. As a co-founder of The Centre for GOOD Travel, Eliza directed operations for ten years, promoting integrity and innovation in tourism. Eliza also contributes as a researcher and guest lecturer at the University of Otago, engaging in tourism research with Dr. Julia Albrecht and Dr. Susan Houge Mackenzie. As a senior advisor at the RISE Travel Institute, Eliza influences sustainable travel education. Previous roles include instructor at the University for Peace, international programmes coordinator at Family Planning, and executive director of the GVN Foundation. Eliza holds a PhD from Victoria University of Wellington and a Master’s degree in Tourism from the University of Otago.
