Nik Počuča has worked in various roles since 2016. In 2016, they were an Information-Technology Project Assistant at Denninger Ltd, a Health & Benefits Actuarial Coop Student at Aon, and a Programmer Analyst Summer Student and iOS Developer Contract at Sunnybrook. In 2017, they were a Graduate Student Researcher and Solutions Developer - Student at Population Health Research Institute. In 2020, they were a Sessional Lecturer at McMaster University. In 2021, they were an AI Engineer at Riskfuel. Currently, they are an AI Research Engineer and Sessional Lecturer at Riskfuel and University of Toronto, respectively. Nik's roles have included developing iOS apps, designing and implementing convolutional neural nets and other machine learning models, programming in Python/R, developing novel course content, writing and testing analytic pricers, creating products that integrate seamlessly into pricing systems, and more.
Nik Počuča completed their Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Statistics (Co-op) from McMaster University in 2018. Nik then obtained a Master of Science degree in Statistics (Thesis) from McMaster University in 2019 with a 4.0 GPA. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Statistics from McMaster University, which is expected to be completed in 2023 with a 4.0 GPA.
