Zvika Plotkin has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of data science, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Zvika has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise and skills in these areas.

Zvika started their career as a research associate at Ben Gurion University of the Negev in 2010, where they worked until 2012.

In 2013, Zvika joined Bioforum Ltd. as a Backend Python Developer, focusing on data engineering and data visualization using Python and HTML. Zvika later became the Data Analyst Team Leader, where they were responsible for cleaning, manipulating, and analyzing data from various sources and producing statistical reports using SAS, SQL, and Python. Zvika worked at Bioforum Ltd. until 2016.

In 2017, Zvika joined G-STAT, on-site at Bank Hapoalim, as a Data Scientist. Here, they analyzed financial behavior and customer usage, designed and utilized machine learning algorithms to increase customer satisfaction and profits. Zvika also worked on big data infrastructure using Hadoop with Spark and a Teradata DWH environment with Python.

In 2018, Zvika joined Bullguard Israel Ltd (Dojo-Labs) as a Data Scientist, where they focused on building a cybersecurity solution for smart home networks. Zvika designed and deployed machine learning solutions for device discovery, suspicious network behavior, and cyber attacks. Zvika also built efficient data pipelines for real-time streaming data usage.

Zvika then moved to Forescout Technologies Inc. in 2019 as a Senior Data Scientist. In this role, they provided device visibility, security, and control for devices connected to large company networks. Zvika designed and deployed machine learning solutions for device discovery, improved visibility, and prevention of cyber attacks. Zvika also built efficient data pipelines for real-time streaming data usage. Zvika worked at Forescout Technologies until 2021.

Currently, Zvika works at Riskified as a Data Scientist. Zvika conducts research on fraud patterns and user behavior in the e-commerce world and provides fraud detection tools for large companies. Zvika designs and deploys machine learning solutions for fraudulent behavior, abuse, card theft, and identity theft prevention. Zvika also works with big data infrastructure using Databricks with Spark, utilizing Pyspark and Python, as well as S3 datalake and Snowflake for unstructured and structured databases.

Zvika Plotkin obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev between the years 2009 and 2012. Following this, they pursued further education at The Open University of Israel and earned a Computer Science Diploma from 2018 to 2020. Zvika continued their studies at The Open University of Israel and is currently working towards a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Computer Science, with an expected completion in 2023.
