Valerio Mapelli

Valerio Mapelli has been working in the field of consulting since 2021, when they began their current role as Associate Consultant at Kwantis. Valerio also works as Project Manager and Functional Analyst at RISKTURN, a position they have held since 2021. In 2020, they were a Junior Project Planner at Arkad SpA. Prior to that, in 2019, they were a Research Intern at CNRS - Centre national de la recherche scientifique, where they worked on a Master Thesis project development studying the impact of Climate Change on water resources. Valerio analyzed the water cycle in the Upper-Rhine basin area and conducted extensive uncertainty quantification and system behaviour forecast by means of both Local and Global Sensitivity Analysis, together with Sobol indices evaluation.

Valerio Mapelli completed a Bachelor's degree in Ingegneria Energetica at Politecnico di Milano from 2014 to 2017, followed by a Master of Science in Energy Engineering at the same institution from 2017 to 2020. During their studies, they obtained certifications in Politics and Economics of International Energy from Sciences Po in 2017, Goal mapping, linguaggio del corpo e comunicazione efficace and Workshop Mnemonica from Politecnico di Milano, Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management from the University of Virginia in 2021, Financial Markets from Yale University in 2020, and Introductory Certificate in Project Management from IPMA: International Project Management Association in 2019. Valerio also completed a Master Thesis in Hydrology and Water Resources Science at the University of Strasbourg from 2019 to 2020, and obtained an Abilitazione all'esercizio della professione di Ingegnere Industriale - Sezione A from Politecnico di Milano in 2021.
