René Alexander Papesch

René Alexander Papesch has extensive work experience in the technology and finance industries. René Alexander is currently the Co-Founder and CTO of Riskwolf, where they utilize real-time data and dynamic risk modeling to enable insurers and MGAs to build and operate parametric coverage at scale. Prior to this, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Lunchdealer, an online platform for lunch delivery services.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, René worked at PAREAL Analytics Consultancy as the DevOps Lead for a major re-insurance company. In this role, they played a key role in a Finance Transformation project, implementing DevOps and CI/CD for SAP S/4HANA and developing infrastructure-as-code solutions. René Alexander also served as Technical Architect for the same re-insurance company, designing and supporting shared components and frameworks for eight delivery teams.

René began their career at Q_PERIOR, where they worked as a Senior Consultant and Consultant, specializing in technology and business consulting. René Alexander also gained experience as a Junior Consultant at Paradigma Consulting Vienna/Austria. Earlier in their career, René worked as a Freelancer at Youthtec and as a Freier Mitarbeiter at Architekturbüro Leopold Dungl.

René Alexander Papesch has an educational background in business informatics and information technology. In 2000, they obtained their Matura degree in Informationstechnologie from HTL Rennweg, Wien 3. From 2007 to 2011, they pursued a BSc degree in Wirtschaftsinformatik from Vienna University of Technology. Following this, in 2011 and 2012, they attended Vienna University of Technology again, this time completing an MSc degree in Business informatics. In between their degrees, in 2012, they briefly studied Informationstechnologie at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
