Samantha C. Ortiz has diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Samantha C. is currently the Director of Rival IQ Engineering at Rival IQ, starting in December 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Staff Engineer at the same company from September to December 2023.

Before joining Rival IQ, Samantha held multiple positions at Lifion by ADP. Samantha C. was the Lead Platform Engineer from September 2021 to September 2023, the Senior Platform Engineer from September 2019 to September 2021, and started their journey at the company as a Software Engineer from December 2016 to September 2019.

In 2016, Samantha briefly worked as the Marketing Director for Sea Radiance Skincare, where they executed marketing campaigns, built and managed the e-commerce website, and played a key role in launching a new skincare line.

From October 2014 to December 2015, Samantha worked as the Project and Office Manager at Social Media Delivered, where they developed and implemented onboarding and offboarding procedures, managed interns, and conducted email marketing campaigns.

Before that, Samantha worked as a Consultant at True North Advisers from September 2012 to October 2014. In this role, they focused on the development and marketing of multiple start-ups, managed e-commerce websites and online magazines, and handled SEO, marketing, and social media.

Additionally, Samantha has experience as a Zookeeper at Sarasota Jungle Gardens, where they cared for various animal species, monitored their wellbeing, and conducted educational shows for visitors.

Their earliest work experience includes a role as a Data Analysis Assistant at New College of Florida in January and February 2011.

Throughout the years, Samantha has gained expertise in engineering, marketing, project management, and data analysis.

Samantha C. Ortiz completed an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive program at Hack Reactor in 2016. Samantha C. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from New College of Florida between 2008 and 2012. In 2010 and 2011, Ortiz engaged in a Coral Reef Ecology program at the Institute for Tropical Ecology and Conservation. In the summer of 2006, they attended Cornell University's Summer College. Ortiz also completed a Bootcamp Prep course at App Academy.
