Fernando Castanheira

Fernando Castanheira serves as the Chief Information Officer at Riverbed Technology since 2021, where responsibilities include leading digital transformation and developing a multi-year technology strategy to establish the company as a cloud-centric and agile provider. Prior to this role, Castanheira was the CIO and Chief Customer Officer at Aternity, focusing on creating an independent IT plan following a corporate carve-out. At JPMorgan Chase & Co., Castanheira held multiple leadership positions from 2000 to 2019, including Managing Director and CTO, where efforts were made to build and transform technology organizations to deliver critical services across various corporate functions, as well as overseeing global teams in engineering and operations for end-user products. Castanheira holds a Master of Science in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from New Jersey City University.
