Christopher Guyer

Christopher Guyer has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Christopher has recently worked as the Director III for Local Control Accountability Plan & Community Engagement at Riverside Unified School District since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Principal at San Gabriel Unified from 2019 to 2023. Before transitioning into an administrative role, they served as an Assistant Principal at Gabrielino High School from 2016 to 2019 and at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools: Health Services Academy High School from 2015 to 2016. Christopher also has experience at Clairbourn School, where they worked as the Dean of Students for Grade 7 from 2012 to 2015 and as a Middle School History Teacher from 2007 to 2015. Christopher has also been involved in various roles at Clairbourn School, such as being a member of the Ethics Team and the Technology Committee. Earlier in their career, Christopher worked as a Teacher, Computer Lab Director, and Technology Coordinator at San Gabriel Mission Elementary School from 2002 to 2007, and as a Computer Lab Director/Technology Instructor at K.L. Carver Elementary School from 2002 to 2003.

Christopher Guyer completed their education with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic and Multimedia Design from ArtCenter College of Design in 1996. Christopher further pursued a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from Mount Saint Mary's University between 2003 and 2006. In 2013, they attended the University of Southern California for a Master of Education in School Leadership and Administration, graduating in 2014. Christopher also holds certifications such as the Administrative Services Credential and the Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
