Ben Ma

Ben Ma has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Ben worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Rivet starting from 2023.

Prior to that, they worked at Amazon as an SDE I, where they were the engineering lead for Blitz Hand-Authoring, an internal tool for language engineers. Ben designed the system architecture, component interaction model, and front-end UI for the tool.

Before Amazon, Ben worked as an AI Research Scientist intern at Deep Music, Inc, where they designed and built a conditional generation transformer model for simultaneous musical generation of melody and Chinese-language lyrics. Ben also adapted a multi-lingual text transformer architecture and conducted training experiments in Pytorch.

Ben also has experience as a DJ and founder of DJ Lysosome, where they organized mobile DJ events and hosted an interactive video series.

Additionally, they worked as a researcher at USC's Signal Analysis & Interpretation Lab, investigating the effect of music on narrative experience and human emotion.

Furthermore, Ben had internships at Amazon, AT&T, and Acer, where they developed various software solutions and automation tools.

Ben also worked as a musician at Cadillac Records and as a web developer at Bellarmine College Preparatory.

Ben Ma has an extensive education history. Ben completed their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the University of Southern California from 2017 to 2021. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed in 2021. Additionally, they obtained a Master's of Management Science in Global Affairs from both Schwarzman Scholars and Tsinghua University in 2021-2022.

In terms of certifications, Ben Ma obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2023.
