Dr Shahid Ahmad

Dr. Shahid Ahmad is a Senior Epidemiologist at RIZ Consulting, focusing on polio eradication and vaccine-preventable disease program implementation since December 2021. Previously, Dr. Ahmad served as a Public Health Surveillance Officer with the World Health Organization from April 2015 to December 2021, coordinating health worker training and monitoring disease burden during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Ahmad's extensive experience also includes roles as Area Coordinator and Polio Eradication Officer, providing technical support and strengthening health programs in Pakistan. Additional positions held include Medical Supervisor at Medicine due mond and Project Manager at Malteser International, with earlier roles in various health organizations. Dr. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Public Health (MPH).
