Navin Peiris

Navin Peiris started their career at Arup in 1997 as a Senior Engineer until 2006. Navin then joined RMS in 2006 as a Senior Director in Model Development, leading the Global Agriculture Risk modeling team. In 2018, they were promoted to Vice President, continuing to focus on designing Agriculture risk solutions for insurers and reinsurance companies.

Navin Peiris completed their MA in Engineering at the University of Cambridge from 1991 to 1994. Navin then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering from the same institution from 1994 to 1997. In 2002, they obtained the Chartered Engineer certification from the Engineering Council (UK). Navin is also a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and holds the CCRA (Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst) certification from Risk Management Solutions.
