Matthew Johnston has been working in the creative industry since 2011. Matthew began their career as a Sales Executive at Hearst Magazines UK, followed by an Account Manager role at Conde Nast on GQ. In 2013, they became the Creative Campaign Studio Director at Wallpaper*, where they directed editorial content, video content, social media campaigns, design installations, events, and special projects on an international scale. In 2018, they moved to NOWNESS as Brand Content & Strategy Director, where they directed internal/external teams and implemented fully global campaigns. In 2020, they began freelancing as a Creative, and in 2021 they became the Creative Director at ROADBOOK.
Matthew Johnston attended Abbey Grammar CBS from 1997 to 2004. Matthew then went on to Swansea University, where they obtained a Ba (Hons) in Illustration from 2005 to 2009. In 2020, they completed a course in Graphic Design at Shillington Education.
