Drew Heltsley

Drew Heltsley is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Roam Robotics, specializing in the design, construction, and testing of pneumatically actuated orthoses and exoskeletons since September 2019. Prior experience includes working as an Independent Engineering/Design Contractor for Bay Area startups, where mechanical design and engineering tasks were performed from December 2018 to September 2019. From May 2015 to November 2018, Drew served as a Mechanical Engineer at APIUM Swarm Robotics, contributing to the development of the Data Diver robotic vehicle in collaboration with the US Navy. Previous roles include Product Engineer at WET Design, Lead Mechanical Engineer at Northrop Grumman, and internships at AeroVironment and Jacobs Engineering. Drew holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, obtained in 2008.
